Only been a Savage-rider for a couple of months now after decades spent on sportier stuff. Bought the '95 used with 4500 miles on it, hit 5700 last night. So far no mods, and no oil leaks either. Keepin' my fingers crossed on that one! Seriously thinking a SuperTrapp and some carb mods wouldn't hurt a thing, and may soon go that way. Can't really justify the cost, but what I'd really like to do is just swap the stock carb for a 42mm Mikuni flatside and jet it for the Trapp. Now THAT could get interesting! Think I'll just go for the rejet/tweaking of the stock one though, and just get Lil' Suzi a bigger, meaner playmate someday soon. Ain't a Harley I know, but I DO have my eye on a V-Twin: either the rumored-to-be-coming SV750 or the TLS from Suzuki.
Like the idea of a get-together, and I'm going to check out a route through north Arkansas to the Memphis area. Just might be meeting you and WDO one day soon. Hope so!
